Job summary

Copeland Industrial LP in California is seeking a Senior Project Manager responsible for delivering Engineer to Order (ETO) projects across multiple accounts. Ensure customer satisfaction while managing complex refrigeration, gas compression, and strategic projects. You will lead project teams and oversee project scope, schedule, and resources.

Senior Project Manager – Overview

Senior Project Manager responsible for delivering Engineer to Order (ETO) projects and client engagements across multiple accounts, ensuring successful delivery and outstanding customer experience.

Responsibilities

• Initiate, plan, execute, monitor and control complex refrigeration, gas compression and other strategic projects.
• Ensure accountability across the organization to meet customer expectations, communicating critical path across functional areas.
• Manage changes to project scope, schedule, resources and costs.
• Perform risk management to minimize project risks and resolve critical problems.
• Build, develop, grow and maintain relationships with customers, vendors and other stakeholders.
• Maintain customer satisfaction, investigate concerns, implement corrective actions and communicate solutions.
• Maintain and improve project, program, portfolio management processes and tools.
• Track industry trends, legislation and competitor activities.
• Coach, mentor, motivate and influence project team members.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a technical field (Mechanical or Electrical Engineering) or MBA, or PMP Certification.
• 7+ years of professional experience, including 4+ years in Project Management within a manufacturing organization, preferably HVAC.
• Experience managing project teams of 10+ and mid‑scale, complex projects with budgets up to $750,000 and 12‑month timelines.
• Proficiency in project management software packages, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and other MS Office Suite.
• Strong attention to detail, exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects and priorities concurrently.
• Ability to influence without formal authority.
• Valid passport and U.S. driver’s license; ability to travel up to 15%.

Preferred Experience

• Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
• Refrigeration or oil & gas industry experience.
• Experience with statistical and business analysis, people management.
• Lean/Six‑Sigma training and project management methodology expertise.
• Strong relationship management, interpersonal, problem‑solving, communication and listening skills.
• Demonstrated initiative, strong work ethic and exemplary communication.

Work Arrangement

Hybrid eligible; required to be in office at least three days per week.
