From the beginning, Starbucks set out to be a different kind of company. One that not only celebrated coffee and the rich tradition, but that also brought a feeling of connection. We are known for developing extraordinary leaders who share this passion and are guided by their service to others.

Do you thrive on driving operational excellence through strategic partnerships? As a manager of program management for Vendor Performance at Starbucks, you will help shape the customer and partner experience by ensuring our outsourced providers deliver consistent, high-quality service across our retail portfolio. You will own and establish the vendor performance program, setting the standards, governance, and multi-year strategy.

You will lead a single, unified team of vendor performance managers spanning soft services, hard services, and equipment service vendors focused on improving vendor performance through standardized vendor scorecards, and corrective action frameworks that scale nationally and regionally. You will drive efficiency and continuous improvement through data and collaboration. By partnering across teams, you will help scale solutions that support growth and uphold the Starbucks experience.

As a manager, program management - Vendor Performance, you will…

  • Model leadership behaviors that are grounded in Starbucks Mission and Values.
  • Drive the engagement, development and performance of all members of the team.
  • Lead a single, unified vendor performance team accountable across soft services, hard services, and equipment vendors, enabling consistent accountability, cross-category benchmarking, and improved execution as work consolidates to fewer national providers.
  • Create, own, and govern the multi-year vendor performance strategy and service network architecture, including goals, budget, initiatives, resource allocation, and vendor segmentation across the portfolio.
  • Establish and govern the vendor performance program, including standardized scorecards, performance standards, corrective action frameworks, and operating routines that drive consistent, proactive vendor accountability.
  • Drive compliance to preferred and approved vendors by partnering with Sourcing, Operations, and regional teams to reinforce vendor selection standards, reduce off-contract work, and capture negotiated value.
  • Autonomously drive strategic alignment across multiple senior leaders and influence cross-functional teams to adopt vendor performance standards, governance decisions, and continuous improvement priorities.
  • Partner closely with Sourcing to lead large, cross-facility RFPs and shape vendor strategies that support centralized, national vendor management.
  • Apply advanced contract administration capabilities to strengthen financial and contract governance across a large vendor portfolio.
  • Negotiate for human, financial, and other resources; liaise with external and internal vendors and stakeholders on prioritization of projects and programs; and provide guidance and leadership to project teams to realize the strategic business vision or desired result.
  • Collaborate and establish partnerships with support and business units to continuously innovate, redesign programs, and better serve customers and partners.
  • Create continuous feedback loops with internal customers and business partners to ensure alignment, identify gaps, and improve vendor performance outcomes.
  • Lead and enable others to deliver highly complex, cross-functional programs while increasing the team’s capacity to deliver.
  • Drive the business forward as part of a highly collaborative team while acting in accordance with Starbucks guiding principles.

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience leading cross-functional initiatives.
