Manager, Product Management - Referrals Core Experience, Shopping (Remote-Eligible)

We are seeking a Product Manager to join Capital One Shopping's growth team, focusing on enhancing our referrals program. The ideal candidate has a strong ability to leverage data for storytelling, hypothesis formation, and metric definition to measure product success.

What we are looking for:
  • Passion for emerging technologies (APIs, Big Data, Native UI's) and integrating them into product development
  • Proficiency in SQL for data strategy, insights, and troubleshooting
  • Experience in setting and monitoring KPIs, requiring strong SQL/data analysis skills
  • Comfort with backend products, challenging norms, and advocating for the team
  • Skills in handling large data sets using SQL, Python, and/or R
  • Ownership of daily product operations, including bug identification and opportunity leveraging through data analysis

What you'll do:
  • Manage the referrals program's core experience roadmap, from discovery to iteration
  • Define and track KPIs related to growth, engagement, and revenue
  • Lead growth strategies and integrate referral campaigns across channels
  • Guide engineering and design teams to deliver an exceptional referrals experience, including testing and data-driven improvements
  • Analyze the competitive landscape for differentiation opportunities
  • Understand user and stakeholder needs to inform tradeoffs and prioritization
  • Develop a vision and roadmap for the referrals program to enhance customer satisfaction and business growth

Basic Qualifications:
  • Minimum 3 years in Product Management
  • Minimum 3 years of SQL experience
  • Degree in a quantitative field or in the process of obtaining one, with an expected completion date before the start

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience translating business strategies into digital products
  • 2+ years in A/B testing and experimentation
  • Experience with mobile-first products and large user bases
  • Experience designing growth loops, viral mechanics, or referral programs
