Job summary

April Housing in Los Angeles seeks a Post Closing Manager to support resyndication activities. You will manage and coordinate administrative processes during closing and construction phases across deals, ensuring smooth transitions between project, asset, and compliance teams.

Responsibilities include coordinating relocation contracts, Town Hall communications, transfer of project information, and producing monthly construction/lease-up updates, while guiding a small team through clubhouse

Qualifications

  • 4–6 years' experience in multi-family facilities management, asset management, property management, or a combination thereof.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate with external and internal counterparts with a customer‑service mentality.
  • Strong writing and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize simultaneous and competing activities while meeting deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Review and coordinate relocation contracts for scope and budget.
  • Coordinate Town Hall presentations for residents and attend Town Halls as appropriate.
  • Verify transfer of the project to the new legal entity with PMCO.
  • Ensure new partnership information is transferred in records.
  • Coordinate with Capital Markets to enter loan/bond information into tracking systems.
  • Arrange pest control inspections and remediation with Asset Management and PMCO.
  • Interview relocation vendors; evaluate proposals and advise on selection.
  • Coordinate resident relocation between relocation consultant and property managers.
  • Facilitate problem solving on tenant issues related to renovation and relocation.
  • Attend weekly OAC calls; facilitate contractor and counterpart communications.
  • Create onsite 'hoteling plans' for residents unable to relocate offsite.
  • Lead small team meetings focused on clubhouse renovations.
  • Coordinate lease-up timing with compliance, PM, and asset management.
  • Produce monthly updates on construction and lease-up activity.
  • Assist with final inspections post rehab and ensure close-out documentation.
  • Collect and review due diligence for other workstreams.

Role Summary

To support April Housing's resyndication activities, the Post Closing Manager manages, facilitates, and coordinates administrative processes across all deals during the closing and construction phase.

What You’ll Do
  • Review and coordinate moving and relocation contracts between project and asset management teams for adequacy of scope and budget
  • Coordinate Town Hall presentations to residents; attend Town Halls as appropriate
  • Work with the PMCO to verify transfer of the project to the new legal entity
  • Verify new partnership information is transferred within April Housing's record keeping systems
  • Coordinate with the Capital Markets team to ensure loan/bond information is entered into appropriate tracking systems
  • Coordinate with Asset Management and the PMCO to arrange pest control inspections and determine needed remediation activities
  • Interview prospective tenant relocation vendors; evaluate proposals and advise on vendor selection
  • Coordinate the resident relocation process between the relocation consultant and property managers
  • Facilitate problem solving on tenant issues related to renovation/resident relocation between property management, asset management, compliance, and relocation consultants
  • Attend weekly OAC calls; facilitate communication between contractors, property management companies, relocation consultants, and April Housing counterparties
  • Create residential onsite “hoteling plans” for select residents who cannot be temporarily relocated offsite
  • Lead small team meetings focused on clubhouse renovations
  • Coordinate timing/strategy of lease-up against projected credit delivery to investor with compliance, project management, asset management, and property managers
  • Produce a monthly update report on construction/lease-up activity across resyndication
  • Assist with coordination of final inspections of state agencies post‑rehab completion
  • Support project managers, directors of construction, and the compliance team to ensure construction close‑out documentation is obtained, filed, and submitted to appropriate agencies
  • Collect and review due diligence as needed for other workstreams
Required Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications
  • Affordable housing exposure/experience a plus, but not required
Compensation

$105K–$110K

Benefits

Health insurance coverage, retirement savings plan, paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO). This role is also eligible for discretionary bonus and incentive compensation on an annual basis.
