Job summary

Bronx Children’s Museum in New York seeks a Manager of Museum Experiences & Learning to lead the daily educational experience and translate the Museum’s educational vision into consistent practice across exhibits and learning spaces.

You will build and develop a team of Educators and Play Facilitators, coach toward inclusive, child-led facilitation, and collaborate with operations, visitor experience, and marketing to ensure a welcoming, high-quality learning environment for every visitor.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Child Development, Museum Education, Arts Education, Education, or closely related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in museum education, early childhood education, or related fields.
• Experience supervising, coaching, or training educators or frontline educational staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day implementation of the Museum’s play-based educational approach across exhibits and learning spaces.
• Direct supervision and development of Educators, Play Facilitators, interns, and other program staff.
• Coordinate and support visiting artists, educators, and program partners with on-site logistics and materials.
• Develop evaluation tools and track participation to assess program effectiveness.
• Collaborate across departments (Visitor Experience, Operations, Exhibits, Marketing, Education) to ensure consistency and quality.
