Ashland has an exciting opportunity for an Admin Manager to join our Ashland LLC (AIPL) business at our Ambernath site- Mumbai, Maharashtra. This is a very visible, significant role within the Company and the Admin & HR function. This position will report to MD India for General admin / Sr Project Manager Capital Projects

The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Overall admin responsibilities and oversight of all offices in Mumbai (Ghatkopar, Vikhroli, Bhiwandi and Ambernath)
  • Lead and support on all day-to-day administration activities at the Ambernath plant through all the stages from its inception to fully operational.
  • Responsible for Admin processes such as coordinating internally and externally for petty cash expenses, vendor payments, contract review & negotiations, etc. with respective departments
  • Manage contractor relations, including addressing grievances, disagreements, conflicts, and other workplace issues. Proactively identify ways to minimize issues.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, including safety and environmental policies. Partner with procurement, legal, safety and Business Functions while executing processes.
  • Provide guidance and support to managers on the best practices.
  • Travel Responsibilities – Local travel across sites on a regular basis
  • Willing to work in shifts, as required.
  • Actively contribute to the organizational goals by taking initiative, executing on goals and focusing on performance and safety
  • Improve the organization capacity and capabilities through building collaborative relationships, optimizing diverse talent and utilizing positive communications and influence with others.

In order to be qualified for this role, you must possess the following:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree
  • 7-10 years in Admin roles in a manufacturing company / Plant
  • 5+ years’ experience managing plants, contract workers
  • Demonstrated responsible and ethical behavior at all times
  • The ability to help the company drive greater value through understanding the business, making complex decisions and creating the new and different
