Job summary

Northwell Health in New York leads the Physician Compensation function, supervising a team of analysts and guiding compensation strategies to ensure fair market value.

The role provides expert consultation to Business Development, clinical and executive leaders, delivering timely analysis and cross-functional support across the health system.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
• 2-3 years of relevant technical experience in physician compensation or related field.
• 3-4 years of leadership and management experience, preferably in a healthcare or compensation setting.

Responsibilities

• Provides day-to-day leadership and guidance to the Physician Compensation team members, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
• Develops, communicates, and builds consensus for departmental goals in alignment with the health system's objectives.
• Reviews business plans and requisitions related to physician employment arrangements, providing input and analysis.
• Selects, develops, and evaluates direct reports, fostering their professional growth.
• Builds and maintains productive intra-departmental and inter-departmental work relationships to optimize operations.
• Manages operational resources including departmental budget, supplies, equipment, space, staff, and information.
• Exercises independent judgment within specific guidelines and procedures to make decisions regarding moderately complex issues within the physician compensation domain.

Leads a team of analysts and collaborates with various stakeholders to achieve departmental objectives. Serves as a subject matterexpert in thephysician compensation space.
