The Cleveland Browns are seeking a Performance Marketing Manager to lead full-funnel paid media and owned-channel messaging. You will drive ticket revenue, fan affinity, and engagement across paid social, connected TV, email, SMS, push, and partnerships.

As a data-driven marketer, you will balance performance tactics with brand storytelling to support season ticket renewals, schedule releases, and group sales.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in performance/digital marketing or CRM/lifecycle marketing, ideally in sports or entertainment.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to run multiple campaigns in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with project tracking software (e.g., Asana) and campaign tracking.
  • Strong written and verbal communication for cross-functional collaboration.
  • Proven hands-on strategy anchoring paid social campaigns, including budget management.
  • Familiarity with email/SMS/push platforms (e.g., Eloqua, Attentive) and CRM/ticketing systems (e.g., Ticketmaster).
  • Analytical mindset with proficiency in Excel/Sheets, Google Analytics, and platform ad managers (Meta/TikTok).
  • Experience integrating influencer/creator partnerships and measuring content performance.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage performance marketing budgets and media plans across paid social, connected TV, programmatic display, and SEO.
  • Plan, execute, and optimize paid campaigns to drive ticket sales, membership, and fan engagement.
  • Own messaging strategy for Owned & Operated channels including email, SMS, push, radio, and partnerships.
  • Build email/SMS/push marketing calendars with segmentation, automation flows, and A/B testing.
  • Lead campaign strategy for season ticket renewals, schedule release, and group sales promotions.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to develop channel assets (video, static, radio scripts, push copy).
  • Collaborate with league marketing to leverage league-owned assets and co-branded opportunities.
  • Coordinate with creators/influencers for game-day activations and content amplification.
  • Monitor KPIs (CPA, ROAS, CTR, conversion rate, list growth, engagement) and optimize accordingly.
  • Partner with Business Analytics to ensure clean data flows between ticketing/CRM and marketing platforms.
  • Manage vendor and agency relationships for paid media buying.
  • Prepare post-campaign recaps and season-long performance reports linking activity to revenue.
  • Stay current on platform updates and privacy changes to guide testing and investment.
  • Support on-site for gameday events and affinity marketing initiatives.

Overview

Performance Marketing Manager will lead the strategy for marketing messaging for the Club's full-funnel paid media and owned-channel strategy, driving ticket revenue, fan affinity and engagement across all available platforms. This role owns the planning, execution and optimization of paid campaigns across paid social and connected TV, while also serving as the primary messaging strategist and project manager of the Club's Owned & Operated channels, including email, SMS, push notifications, radio, preseason broadcast, and creator/influencer partnerships. The ideal candidate is data-driven, flexing between performance media tactics and brand-building through storytelling to support key revenue campaigns including season ticket renewals, schedule release, single-game on-sale, and group sales. This person will work cross-functionally with Ticket Sales, Content, Digital and league partners to ensure every channel is optimized against clear KPIs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage performance marketing budgets and media plans, allocating spend across channels based on real-time performance data and seasonal priorities.
  • Plan, execute, and optimize paid media campaigns across paid social (Meta, X, TikTok, LinkedIn), connected TV, programmatic display and SEO to drive ticket sales, membership, and fan affinity program growth goals.
  • Serve as primary owner of strategy for marketing messaging for Owned & Operated (O&O) channels including email marketing, SMS, push notifications, team radio and TV broadcast spots, ensuring consistent messaging, cadence, and performance tracking across all platforms.
  • Build messaging for email/SMS/push marketing calendar, including segmentation, automation flows, and A/B testing to maximize open, click, and conversion rates.
  • Oversee campaign strategy and execution for season ticket renewals, schedule release, single-game ticket on-sale, and group sales promotions, aligning paid and owned tactics to hit revenue targets.
  • Lead creative process with internal teams to develop channel-specific ad and O&O assets (video, static, radio scripts, push copy) tailored to platform best practices.
  • Coordinate with league marketing team to leverage league-owned assets, co-branded creative, and shared media opportunities that extend the club's reach.
  • Integrate content creators and influencers for game-day activations, ticket promotions, and O&O content amplification.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on campaign KPIs (CPA, ROAS, CTR, conversion rate, list growth, engagement rate) and translate insights into actionable optimization recommendations.
  • Collaborate with Business Analytics team to ensure clean data flow between ticketing/CRM systems and marketing platforms.
  • Manage vendor and agency relationships for paid media buying.
  • In tandem with Business Analytics team, build post-campaign recaps and season-long performance reports for marketing leadership, tying marketing activity directly to ticket revenue and fan engagement outcomes.
  • Stay current on platform updates, privacy/tracking changes, and emerging channels (e.g., new social platforms, streaming inventory) and recommend where the Club should test or invest next.
  • Support larger marketing team on-site for gameday specific assistance for all home games and special events including, but not limited to, Affinity Marketing and other fan focused events.
Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Sport Management, Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in performance marketing, digital marketing, or CRM/lifecycle marketing, ideally within sports or entertainment.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to run multiple concurrent campaigns in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Extensive experience with project tracking software, inputting and tracking marketing campaigns (i.e. Asana).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for cross-functional collaboration with Ticket Sales, Digital, Business Analytics and Content teams along with League partners.
  • Proven hands-on experience anchoring strategy for paid social campaigns, including budget management and platform-level optimization.
  • Strong familiarity with email/SMS/push marketing platforms (e.g., Eloqua, Attentive ) and CRM/ticketing systems (e.g., Ticketmaster).
  • Analytical mindset with proficiency in Excel/Sheets, Google Analytics, and platform ad managers (e.g., Meta Ads Manager, TikTok Ads).
