Job summary

Schindler Elevator Corporation in Wayne, NJ, is seeking a Manager Order Management to oversee the EPCO Order Management Center, lead a team of inside sales reps, and drive accurate order intake, processing for production, and exemplary customer service for affiliate business units.

You will develop KPIs on lead-time, on-time delivery, and bookings, onboard new hires, mentor staff, and ensure compliance with product and code requirements while fostering continuous improvement and strategic growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or 10+ years inside sales experience, with 3+ years in junior lead roles.
• Required industry knowledge, sales experience, and back office experience in parts and fixture industry.
• 5+ years of leadership and teamwork experience preferred.
• 10+ years of strong communication skills, elevator code knowledge, and industry knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Oversee EPCO Order Management Center tasks and manage inside sales team.
• Develop and monitor KPIs related to order intake, lead-time, on-time delivery, and bookings.
• Onboard new hires, create training materials, and conduct training sessions.
• Maintain product and code knowledge and ensure timely, knowledgeable customer responses.
• Drive quick quote turnover and manage order backlog.

Your main responsibilities

PRIMARY FUNCTION / POSITION OVERVIEW: This position is responsible for overseeing the tasks of the EPCO Order Management Center. Manage team of inside sales reps, conduct training/development - Responsible for order intake and order processing for production and provide customer service for affiliate business units.

Primary Function / Position Review

• Full EPCO Order Management Center directly reports to this position
• Develop and maintain KPIs related to order intake, lead-time, on-time delivery, shipment volume, sales volume (bookings). Monthly & Periodic reporting.
• Onboarding of new hires, creating training materials, conduct training
• Conducts recurring 1:1 meetings with individual inside sales representatives.
• Keeps team up to date on product and code requirements
• Motivates team and ensures tasks are being completed and quotas are being met
• Provides daily direction and communication to employees so that customer requests are answered in a timely, efficient and knowledgeable manner.
• Responsible for quick quote turnover time for the inside sales team
• Controls order backlog
• Drive strategic continuous improvement - develop team capabilities to self-sustain
• Act as first line of defense for production
• Actively prepares and participates in trade shows
• Works on own key accounts (quoting and project management)

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & OTHER SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's Degree or or 10 years of experience in inside sales role and 3 years experience in junior lead roles.
• Required industry knowledge, sales sxperience, and back office experience - parts and fixture industry.
