The Global Merchant & Network Services (GMNS) Business Unit acquires and maintains relationships with millions of merchants who welcome American Express-branded cards. The Global Client Group (GCG) in Global Merchant & Network Services serves American Express’ largest and most complex global merchants across retail, online and travel-related industries representing over $300B+ of charge volume.Our vision is to be the partner of choice to drive global commerce.Our mission is to drive revenue growth through premium value, service excellence, and high-touch customer engagement.

This position will report to the VP of GCG Strategy and Operations and support critical operational and strategic initiatives. The successful candidate will be responsible for streamlining business operations, managing risk events end-to-end, and supporting strategic projects. Key Responsibilities:

· Manage projects end-to-end including creating project plans and process documentation. This includes managing OREs and ensuring we meet all timelines.

· Become a subject matter expert for a portfolio of critical business processes/initiatives. Initiate new ideas and processes to improve governance and controls.

· Create tools and trainings in support of operational & strategic initiatives.

· Create and manage reporting, presentations, and scorecards.

· Be the day-to-day liaison with key operational, compliance, and risk partners to ensure we’re meeting deadlines, advancing longer-term projects, and staying informed.

· Support Vice President in Strategic projects, as needed.

Qualifications:

· Minimum 6 years of project management, risk, product, and/or strategic consulting experience

· Strong project management skills and comfortable with managing multiple priorities with tight deadlines

· Strong communicator with the ability to succinctly and logically convey complex processes/problems to a range of audiences

· Ability to manage and influence stakeholders across different teams and geographies

· Strong strategic acumen and desire to get to the root cause of issues

· Brings a self-starter mindset with proven ability to learn new domains quickly

· Flexibility in working across global time zones, as needed (~30%). Experience working in a global team, a plus.

Salary Range: $80,000.00 to $155,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
