Job description

Description

Our logistics teams are changing the way we interact with customers around the globe every single day and solving some of the biggest logistical challenges facing not just Amazon, but the entire industry. We are looking for a Manager in Bellevue, Washington to join the team.

This leader will oversee a team of Operation Engineers who act as single liaison between Operations and Engineering, owning (1) sourcing problems: filtering signals from DSP feedback and ops listening tools to identify and prioritize engineering programs; (2) centralizing reporting: owning consolidated operational dashboards (e.g., Pulse Dashboard) that provide a single pane of glass across SP&E programs; and (3) bridging the gap: serving as the dedicated conduit that translates operational pain points into actionable engineering requirements, eliminating the current ad‑hoc handoff model.

Key Job Responsibilities
  • Own the master lifecycle template and stage‑gate criteria that govern how work moves from engineering through construction, commissioning, and launch
  • Create and maintain a series of tools to filter signals and report engineering solutions
  • Own the team's engineering program dashboard, providing real‑time visibility into program health, risk, and milestones across the network
  • Manage and develop a team of up to six engineers, setting goals, providing feedback, and owning career growth and performance
  • Build strong relationships across Engineering, Planning, Operations, Material Handling, and Equipment teams
  • Establish shared mechanisms and collaborate with partner teams to align on standards, processes, and solutions
  • Facilitate cross‑functional reviews to align on design and process decisions
  • Lead engineering design standards, module audits, and root‑cause deep dives, translating findings into actionable recommendations
A Day in the Life

You review the program dashboard for anything that flips to at‑risk, unblock an engineer on a stalled review, and join a stage‑gate review with partner teams to align on launch readiness. You coach a report through a root‑cause analysis, review a recommendation before it goes to leadership, and prep your weekly roll‑up for the business review. The role balances people leadership, technical judgment, and cross‑functional collaboration.

The team works collaboratively with Engineering, Planning, Operations, Material Handling, and Equipment teams to improve sourcing and reporting processes.
