Job summary

Amazon Logistics (AMZL) is seeking a Senior Operations Engineer to support the Process Engineering team. You will own a product roadmap and deliver next‑generation AMZL delivery stations from inception to execution, partnering with leaders across engineering, design, and operations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, mechanical, operations, supply chain, business administration, or equivalent STEM field.
  • Minimum 6 years of experience as an industrial/operations/manufacturing/project engineer in a manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum 5 years of manufacturing equipment development experience.
  • Experience in program or project management with cross-functional delivery.
  • Proficiency with at least one CAD technology (AutoCAD, Rhino, Revit, SolidWorks, CREO, BIM360, SketchUp, or KeyShot).

Amazon is seeking a Senior Operations Engineer to support the Process Engineering team. The role owns a product roadmap and ensures delivery of the next‑generation AMZL delivery station. You will lead end‑to‑end product delivery from inception to execution, working with senior leaders across engineering, design, tech, operations, and safety. The position involves managing large, complex initiatives, advocating for the customer, and driving innovation at scale.

Responsibilities
  • Initiate, define, plan, and manage rollout of product features and enhancements for the next‑generation AMZL Delivery Stations.
  • Collaborate closely with partner teams in Engineering, Tech, and Operations to build impactful products.
  • Identify and onboard new programs.
  • Lead execution with high discipline and engagement with the product development teams.
  • Present concepts, designs, program updates, and roadmap to senior leadership on a frequent basis; strong written and verbal communication skills required.
  • Hold partner teams accountable for delivery of the project roadmap; own a portion of the vision of the next‑generation DS roadmap, including execution, milestones, and delivery dates.
  • Drive a culture of innovation across the AMZL Strategic Planning and Process Engineering Org.
  • Travel up to 30% based on business needs.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, mechanical, operations, supply chain, business administration, or an equivalent STEM field.
  • Minimum 6 years of experience as an industrial engineer, operations engineer, manufacturing engineer, or project engineer in a manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum 5 years of manufacturing equipment development experience.
  • Experience in program or project management with delivery of cross‑functional projects.
  • Proficiency with at least one CAD technology (AutoCAD, Rhino, Revit, SolidWorks, CREO, BIM360, SketchUp, or KeyShot).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in engineering, mechanical, operations, supply chain, business administration, or an equivalent STEM field.
  • Experience within a distribution center, logistics, or manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with Six Sigma and lean manufacturing.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Experience designing complex systems for automation in logistics or manufacturing, or product development in automotive, aerospace, automation equipment, or a related field.
  • Experience leading large‑scale technical or engineering programs with a proven record of thought leadership, business case development, realizing customer benefits, and successful program completion.

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
