ATI is seeking a Manager, Operations to lead a critical part of the product-release process at our Forged Products facility in Cudahy, WI. In this highly visible leadership role, you will oversee Physical Test, Product Certification, and onsite Shipping — three interconnected functions that help ensure our forged products meet requirements and are ready to reach our customers.

Our Cudahy operation includes a NADCAP MTL-certified captive laboratory that performs the destructive and physical testing required to support product release. As Manager, Operations, you will lead the teams responsible for moving forged products through final testing, certification, and release for shipment. You will bring structure to complex workflows, align priorities with production needs and customer commitments, and lead teams through the daily challenges of a dynamic manufacturing environment. This role combines people leadership, production planning, cross-functional coordination, continuous improvement, and hands‑on operational problem‑solving.

What You'll Do

• Lead with safety as the top priority, creating an environment where employees are engaged, accountable, and empowered to identify and resolve safety concerns.
• Lead the day-to-day operations of destructive and physical testing supporting forged-product release, including specimen preparation, testing, retesting, certification, and release activities.
• Prioritize and coordinate testing activities based on production requirements, customer commitments, and daily shipping priorities, adjusting plans as business needs change.
• Ensure timely and accurate product release by overseeing test results, certifications, and required documentation through the appropriate release process.
• Lead employees across a complex manufacturing and testing environment, with responsibility for staffing, workflow, performance management, communication, engagement, and employee development.
• Manage the end-to-end flow of test material, including material breakdown and specimen manufacturing, testing, retesting, certification, subcontract testing, and shipment.
• Partner closely with Production and other Forged Products locations to establish testing priorities, resolve constraints, and respond to changing production and customer schedules.
• Coordinate closely with the Shipping organization to ensure testing, certification, and ship-room activities remain synchronized with customer commitments and shipment requirements.
• Monitor operational performance and proactively remove barriers that could impact product release, throughput, quality, or customer delivery.
• Plan and coordinate workforce, equipment, and capital resources needed to support current operations and future business requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement across quality, productivity, cost, lead time, equipment reliability, inventory, workflow, and overall operating performance, using data and structured problem-solving to deliver measurable and sustainable results.
• Support customer and third‑party audits and ensure the operation maintains the standards, procedures, and discipline expected of an accredited special‑process environment.
• Lead organizational change effectively by establishing clear priorities, communicating expectations, engaging employees, and maintaining accountability through periods of growth, transformation, and operational change.
• Build strong cross‑functional partnerships with Operations, Production, Quality, Engineering, Shipping, and other internal stakeholders to improve execution and customer responsiveness.
• Promote and model ATI's values and leadership principles, fostering a culture grounded in safety, integrity, respect, teamwork, innovation, and accountability.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Position requires a high school diploma

10+ years of manufacturing experience, with a focus on supply chain, operations or engineering roles.

Managing a team of salary and hourly union staff preferred.
