Job summary

Sun Auto Tire & Service in Fort Worth, TX is seeking a Manager-on-Deck to lead daily store operations, drive guest satisfaction, and maximize profitability. This role offers hands-on exposure to all facets of automotive service management, with opportunities to advance into leadership within the Sun Auto family.

You will oversee guest services, manage staffing, monitor financials, and uphold safety and quality standards while building a high-performing team.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of management or equivalent automotive industry experience.
• Experience coaching and guiding team members to success through effective communication.
• Ability to develop and meet monthly, quarterly and annual plans for the store.
• Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales and profit goals.
• Automotive technician experience preferred, but not required.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• State Inspector License or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire date.
• Ability to work a minimum of five days, including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Sets expectations and communicates regularly with employees on responsibilities, goals, training, development, and customer service.
• Ensures compliance with all company policies through meetings and store audits.
• Recruits, interviews, and hires new employees as business dictates.
• Conducts regular performance evaluations for all employees.
• Analyzes and measures business trends; develops plans to maximize sales and meet targets.
• Reviews invoices and daily reports to identify opportunities for growth; maintains controls over assets and performs closing procedures.
• Maintains store cleanliness and merchandising standards; conducts regular inspections of equipment and requests maintenance as needed.
• Returns unused parts to vendors and ensures credits are allocated to accounting.
