Job summary

Urology Centers of Alabama, PC in Homewood, AL seeks a Front Desk Supervisor to lead the clinic’s administrative team and ensure accurate registration, insurance verification, and patient check-in processes. The role requires coordinating with clinicians and clerical staff to maintain smooth operations.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of healthcare clerical experience, prior supervisory experience, and knowledge of payer systems.

Qualifications

• At least three years of healthcare clerical experience, preferably at a front desk or as a Medical Secretary.
• Prior supervisory experience or experience leading Teams to success.
• Knowledge of third party payor systems and practices.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Front Desk and Medical Secretary Team’s day-to-day functions at UCA’s clinic, assisting with those duties as necessary.
• Field questions from patients and route them to the appropriate person/department.
• Verify that Team properly completes registration, insurance verification, and check-in process, handling the most complex cases.
• Ensure Team balances batches, superbills, and deposits are accurate.
• Conduct new Team Member training.
• Act as liaison between clinical and clerical positions.
