Job summary

The Steamship Authority in Falmouth, MA seeks a Manager of Workforce Training & Development to lead organization-wide trainings and career pathways. Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Manage surveys and assist managers with action plans.

• Implement train-the-trainer model with external vendors.
• Partner with schools and training programs serving community residents.

Manager of Workforce Training & Development

The Steamship Authority is currently seeking to fill the position of Manager of Workforce Training & Development at the Steamship Authority's Falmouth administrative office location. This is a full-time, non-union position.

Position Function

The Manager of Workforce Training & Development is responsible for leading organizational wide trainings and career pathways through coordinating, management and execution of workforce development programs. The Manager will proactively assess the needs of the organization and work closely with internal stakeholders.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Implement and oversee organization-wide training programs, including employee customer service, supervisory development, and any workforce and HR-related trainings.
• Collaborate with the management team to provide workforce development, planning and support.
• Facilitate various staff training courses held with internal and external parties.
• Oversee the implementation of customer facing training programs.
• Develop and launch career pathways and its curriculum for career tracks.
• Manage employee opinion and workforce-related surveys while assisting managers in implementing a results-oriented action plan.
• Develop staff and supervisory training for new hires and periodically though the year for all staff.
• Implement a train the trainer model with consultation from external vendors.
• Partner with community-based schools, colleges and training programs that serve community residents.
• Assist with employee recognition programs and events in collaboration with Human Resources Director, managers, and staff.
• Manage execution of all activities, projects, training and deadlines related to workforce development and employee recognition.
• Provide function direction to subordinates regarding SQMS disciplines.
• Other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

The salary range for this position is $108,700 to $140,100.
