Key Responsibilities of the Manager of Technical Accounting
- Research complex accounting matters and prepare technical accounting memoranda
- Support Forms 10-Q and 10-K, including financial statements, footnotes, and disclosure checklists
- Lead accounting for mergers and acquisitions, including purchase price allocation and ASC 805 analysis
- Evaluate significant transactions involving revenue, leases, debt, consolidations, and related-party activity
- Coordinate with external auditors and provide documentation supporting accounting conclusions
- Partner with finance and accounting teams on acquisition integration and reporting requirements
- Improve technical accounting policies, internal controls, and financial reporting processes
Qualifications For The Manager Of Technical Accounting
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
- CPA strongly preferred
- Progressive experience in technical accounting, SEC reporting, audit, or corporate accounting
- Experience preparing or reviewing Forms 10-Q and 10-K
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, including ASC 805 and business combination accounting
- Experience supporting M&A transactions, purchase accounting, and acquisition integration
- Public accounting experience and exposure to publicly traded companies strongly preferred
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship
