Role Boundaries and Institutional Support

The Title IX coordinator will oversee and identify trained internal or external investigators, decision-makers, appeal officers, informal resolution facilitators, and legal resources so the Coordinator can oversee a fair process without personally performing every function.

Title IX responsibilities take priority when a report, urgent supportive measure, regulatory deadline, or active case requires immediate attention. Student engagement deadlines and events should be supported through cross-training and backup coverage.

The workload allocation should be reviewed periodically based on case volume, regulatory changes, training obligations, and the scope of engagement programming. Additional support or reassignment of duties may be necessary if Title IX demands regularly exceed the anticipated 30% allocation.

The position operates in a professional office and higher education environment and requires attendance at meetings, programs, events, and training sessions across campus.
