Eastern Airlines is seeking a Manager of Security to provide leadership and oversight of security protocols. This full-time role in Kansas City requires a Bachelor’s degree and significant experience in airport operations. The manager will interact with various stakeholders and ensure compliance with all security standards while managing the training program for employees and vendors.

General
This is a full-time, FLSA exempt position, that will report to the Director of Security and works closely with the Director of Operations for both Eastern Airlines and Eastern Air Express. This position interacts with Captains, First Officers, the Manager of Flight Operations Training, external vendors that provide security at the Company’s field locations, and at times will interact with the FAA. The Manager of Security is responsible for providing the leadership and oversight necessary to ensure that all employees and vendors are adequately knowledgeable of their security related duties in accordance with regulatory requirements and Eastern’s security related goals. The Manager of Security will act as the Company’s alternate Airport Operations Security Coordinator (AOSC), be responsible to ensure the Company’s Ground Security Coordinators (GSCs) are adequately trained and may work on Transportation Security Administration (TSA) audits as assigned by / and as an alternate for the Director of Security.

3. Excellent presentation, written and verbal communication skills;
4. Strong interpersonal skills;
5. Proficient / Intermediate or better skills in MS PowerPoint, Excel and MS Office Suite;
6. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills;
7. Ability to work under minimal supervision; exercises independent good judgment, appropriate discretion, and takes initiative;
8. Self-motivated and independent problem-solving ability;
9. Ability to travel out of state if needed.
