Job summary

Emerson Health in Concord, MA is seeking a Security Supervisor reporting to the Director of Public Safety to manage all functions of the Security Department and supervise Security personnel.

You will ensure a safe and secure environment for patients, staff, and visitors, coordinate shifts, investigate incidents, oversee surveillance, and conduct fire drills on and off site, including monthly extinguisher checks by Security Officers.

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum three years of supervisory experience.
• Experience in a healthcare security environment strongly preferred.
• AVADE Certified in Workplace Violence Prevention Levels I, II, and III or obtain within 60 days of employment.
• AVADE Certified Trainer preferred or Obtain within 90 days of employment.
• Excellent customer service, ability to read/write English, ability to write security reports, computer skills, and maintain confidentiality.

About This Role

Reporting directly to the Director of Public Safety. Manages all functions of the Security Department including the supervision of Security personnel. Responsibilities include assuring a safe and secure environment for all patients, staff, and visitors. All shift activities are coordinated to ensure compliance with all hospital policies, monitors appropriate security officer response, documentation, adequate staffing levels, investigates incidents, oversees surveillance, conducts fire drills on and off site. Ensure that fire extinguishers are checked monthly by Security Officers.

Schedule: Full Time

Pay Range: To Be Determined.

Shift: Day shift

Hours: 7-330

Minimum Qualifications

• Education

• Experience
