HCA Florida Blake Hospital in Bradenton, FL is seeking a Manager of Safety and Security to oversee 24-hour security for patients, staff and visitors and lead the on-site security team. You will coordinate safety activities, emergency planning, incident reviews, and security training; manage valet and campus transportation; and collaborate with local agencies to keep the campus compliant and secure.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in healthcare administration, engineering, or related field required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred and strongly considered.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate safety activities and safety training related to compliance.
• Oversee valet parking service and campus transportation.
• Develop and implement the facility’s Emergency Operations Plan (EOP) and liaise with local agencies.
• Review safety-related incident reports and monitor trends in a centralized database.
• Develop and implement training programs for facility security officers.
• Monitor safety-related legislation and regulatory standards to ensure compliance and conduct emergency exercises.

Job Summary and Qualifications

We are seeking a Manager of Safety and Security. As our Manager of Safety and Security, you will have twenty-four hour responsibility for the safety of all employees, patients and visitors to our campus. Your responsibilities may include:

• You will coordinate safety activities and training relative to safety compliance issues.
• You will be responsible for the valet parking service and campus transportation.
• You will coordinate the development and implementation of the facility’s Emergency Operations Plan (EOP). You will work collaboratively with local and regional agencies maintaining close liaison with local police and other law enforcement agencies
• You will review all safety-related incident reports, maintaining an accessible database of incidents closely monitoring any trends.
• You will develop and implement training programs for facility’s security officers..
• You will monitor current safety-related legislation and regulatory agency standards and ensure the hospital’s compliance. This includes planning and executing emergency exercises.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in healthcare administration, engineering, or related field required, Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Five years’ experience in safety or eight years relevant experience
• Demonstrated skills in organization, verbal and written communications, customer service, math, analysis, reading, following instruction, basic computer usage
