• Strong leadership, communication, customer service, budgeting, and project management skills.
• CPR/AED certification
• Valid driver's license with vehicle insurance.
• Certified Park and Recreation Professional (CPRP) certification, preferred.
• Illinois Food Management Certification, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Visit facilities regularly, identify needs, and help teams solve problems.
• Lead, coach, and evaluate staff while supporting their professional growth.
• Coordinate facility use, review operating procedures, and respond to public concerns.
• Partner with Park Services on facility projects, vendor coordination, and priorities.
• Develop goals and budgets, monitor expenses, and recommend improvements.
• Promote a strong culture of safety and risk management.

From beaches, recreation and athletic facilities, and community gathering spaces, Crystal Lake Park District facilities are where people come to play, learn, and connect. We're looking for a Manager of Recreation Facilities to help keep those spaces safe, welcoming, and ready for what's next.

In this role, you'll lead facility operations across multiple locations, support three direct-report managers and supervisors, and work with teams throughout the Park District to deliver a great experience for visitors and staff.
