Job summary

KODIAK Construction Recruiting & Staffing is seeking a Project Accounting Manager in Dallas, TX to lead the project accounting function for a growing construction organization. You will supervise Accountants, manage job costing, WIP and forecasting, and partner with Project Managers to resolve financial issues and drive corrective action.

The ideal candidate has extensive accounting experience in construction, strong Excel skills, and a track record of improving ERP-driven processes.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of accounting experience
• 5+ years in construction or project accounting
• Supervisory or team leadership experience preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
• Strong knowledge of construction job costing and WIP
• Experience with forecasting, AIA billing, retainage, subcontract accounting, and revenue recognition
• Advanced Excel skills
• Experience with construction ERP/accounting systems
• Strong communication and leadership skills

Project Accounting Manager – Dallas, TX

We are recruiting for an experienced Project Accounting Manager to lead the project accounting function for a growing construction organization in Dallas, Texas.

This is a hands-on leadership role overseeing project financial reporting, job costing, WIP, forecasting, construction billing, and project closeout while partnering closely with Project Managers and Operations leadership.

What You’ll Do

• Supervise, mentor, and develop Project Accountants


• Oversee project setup, budgets, cost codes, and job-cost accounting


• Manage monthly forecasting and WIP reporting


• Review project profitability, variances, committed costs, and financial risks

What We’re Seeking
