Erickson Senior Living in Catonsville, MD seeks a Payroll Manager to lead payroll operations and mentor a team of payroll professionals.

You will oversee end-to-end processing, ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regs, and drive process improvements in a fast-paced senior living environment. Hybrid work, competitive benefits, and growth opportunities offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years payroll experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
• Experience with Workday (required) and UKG (preferred).
• Strong understanding of federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and HRIS systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day operations of the Payroll team, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant payroll processing.
• Train and develop Payroll staff, providing ongoing coaching and performance management.
• Oversee all payroll activities, including regular and off-cycle payments, audits, and issue resolution.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations and stay current on regulatory changes.
• Manage payroll reconciliations, reporting, and analysis, including ad hoc data requests.
• Drive process improvements and maintain payroll policies, procedures, and standard operating documentation.
• Support payroll systems, including upgrades, testing, and technical enhancements.
• Collaborate cross-functionally and build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners.

Compensation:

• Commensurate with experience from $91,000-$100,000 per year, plus eligibility for annual bonus
