Erickson Senior Living in Catonsville, Maryland, is seeking a Payroll Manager to lead our payroll operations and inspire a team of payroll professionals.

You will oversee end-to-end processing, ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, and drive continuous improvement across payroll systems such as Workday.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of payroll experience, including 2+ years in a leadership role.
• Experience with Workday is required; UKG is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, and HRIS systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day payroll operations and ensure timely, accurate processing.
• Train and develop Payroll staff with ongoing coaching and performance management.
• Oversee all payroll activities including regular and off-cycle payments, audits, and issue resolution.
• Ensure compliance with payroll regulations and stay current with changes.
• Manage payroll reconciliations, reporting, and ad hoc data requests.
• Drive process improvements and maintain SOPs and documentation.
• Support payroll systems upgrades, testing, and enhancements.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with internal stakeholders and external partners.

We're seeking a motivated and experienced Payroll Manager to lead payroll operations and inspire a team of Payroll professionals at our Catonsville, Maryland home office. Compensation

• Commensurate with experience from $ $91,000–$100,000 per year, plus eligibility for annual bonus
• Competitive benefits packages including medical, dental, vision, and PTO in accordance with applicable state law

How You Will Make An Impact

• Lead the day-to-day operations of the Payroll team, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant payroll processing
• Train, and develop Payroll staff, providing ongoing coaching and performance management

• Drive process improvements and maintain payroll policies, procedures, and standard operating documentation
• Support payroll systems, including upgrades, testing, and technical enhancements
• Collaborate cross-functionally and build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners

What You Will Need

• Minimum of 5 years of payroll experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role
• Experience with Workday (required) and UKG (preferred)
• Strong understanding of federal, state, and local payroll regulations
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and HRIS systems
