Job summary

ImOn Communications, LLC is seeking a Manager of Network Operations to lead planning, operation, maintenance, and growth of our telecom network infrastructure in Sioux City, Iowa.

You will guide a team of network professionals, ensure reliability, scalability, and performance of voice, data, and video networks, and drive modernization initiatives to support business growth and service availability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS, Engineering, Business Admin, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience managing technology operations.
• 3+ years of leadership or supervisory experience.
• 3+ years of experience in the telecommunications industry.
• Strong knowledge of IP Networking, VoIP, IPTV, Ethernet, HFC, FTTH, Wireless and transport technologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise Network Administrators and Network Operations personnel.
• Oversee design, expansion, modernization, and optimization of telecommunications networks.
• Manage network infrastructure, including IP, Ethernet, VoIP, wireless, microwave, satellite, SONET, HFC, FTTH, and IPTV technologies.
• Monitor network performance, capacity, and reliability, implementing improvements to minimize downtime and enhance service delivery.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute technology strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Develop and present business cases, project plans, and technology recommendations.
• Manage vendor relationships, contracts, budgets, and third-party service providers.
• Oversee data center operations, ensuring 24/7 availability, uptime goals, and incident response protocols.
• Lead network upgrades, installations, repairs, and infrastructure improvements.
• Mentor, train, and develop team members while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Stay informed on industry trends and emerging technologies to support innovation and operational excellence.

Requirements

What We’re Looking For:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience managing and/or directing technology operations.
• 3+ years of leadership or supervisory experience.
• 3+ years of experience within the telecommunications industry.
• Strong knowledge of telecommunications and networking technologies, including: IP Networking, VoIP, IPTV, Ethernet, HFC, FTTH, Wireless and transport technologies
