Qualifications

  • Hands-on PCB assembly experience is required.
  • Experience improving manufacturing processes in electronics/electrical production.
  • Track record evaluating processes and implementing improvements.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with data-driven approach.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to lead on the production floor.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate manufacturing processes to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Observe on the production floor and engage with employees to understand challenges.
  • Improve manual processes, standardization, quality, and efficiency.
  • Lead process improvements from idea through implementation and measurement.
  • Update work instructions, tooling, layouts, and production methods.
  • Partner with production, engineering, quality and other teams to implement changes.
  • Use data and root-cause analysis to address recurring issues.
  • Explore automation or tooling to increase efficiency.
  • Build cross-functional relationships and drive buy-in for changes.
  • Communicate reasons for changes and help teams adopt new processes.
  • Encourage ideation and continuous improvement among staff.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We’re looking for a hands‑on manufacturing leader who enjoys finding opportunities to make good processes even better.

This role will work closely with our manufacturing team to understand how work gets done, identify opportunities to improve quality, efficiency, consistency, and throughput, and help turn ideas into practical improvements.

You’ll bring a combination of manufacturing expertise, process improvement skills, and strong people skills. Success in this role means building trust, asking the right questions, working through different perspectives, and helping teams embrace positive change.

Hands‑on experience with electrical assembly, including printed circuit board (PCB) assembly, is required.

What You’ll Do
  • Evaluate manufacturing processes, workflows, and production practices to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Spend time on the production floor observing processes, talking with employees, and understanding challenges and opportunities firsthand.
  • Identify opportunities to improve manual processes, standardization, quality, efficiency, and consistency.
  • Lead process improvements from idea through implementation, measuring results and refining solutions along the way.
  • Improve work instructions, documentation, tooling, layouts, processes, and production methods.
  • Partner with production, engineering, quality, and other teams to solve problems and implement improvements.
  • Use data, root‑cause analysis, and practical manufacturing knowledge to address recurring issues.
  • Look for opportunities to introduce automation, technology, tooling, or other solutions that make work more efficient.
  • Build strong relationships across the organization and work effectively with a variety of personalities and perspectives.
  • Communicate the reasons behind changes, create buy‑in, and help teams adopt new processes.
  • Encourage employees to share ideas and identify opportunities to continuously improve how we work.
What We’re Looking For
  • Hands‑on experience with electrical assembly, specifically printed circuit board (PCB) assembly. This is required.
  • Experience improving manufacturing processes in an electronics, electrical, or similar production environment.
  • A track record of evaluating existing processes and successfully implementing improvements.
  • Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills, with the ability to combine data with practical manufacturing experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to navigate differing opinions and resistance to change.
  • A hands‑on, collaborative leadership style and the willingness to spend time on the production floor.
  • The ability to influence change through communication, credibility, and relationships.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, 5S, root‑cause analysis, process mapping, automation, ERP/MRP systems, or other continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
