Compensation: $70,000 - $75,000 / year

Description

We are looking for a seasoned procurement and planning professional ready to hit the ground running and immediately make a difference. What You'll Do
  • Production Planning & Scheduling: Convert customer demand and sales orders into achievable master production schedules (MPS), level-loading production lines to optimize throughput and minimize setup downtime.
  • Work Order Management: Create, release, sequence, and track shop floor work orders (WOs) / job travelers, actively monitoring Work-in-Progress (WIP) to resolve bottlenecks and scrap issues.
  • Material Requirements Planning (MRP): Align procurement schedules with production timelines to ensure 100% component availability prior to releasing jobs to the floor, preventing line stalls.
  • Procurement Execution & MRO Management: Coordinate all activities related to the procurement of production commodities and MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations) orders, managing the process from intent to purchase through final delivery.
  • Commodity Analysis: Analyze commodity requirements, including preliminary specifications, preferred suppliers, and required delivery dates.
  • Schedule & Quality Control: Assure commodities, shop orders, and MRO requisitions are delivered on schedule and meet company quality standards.
  • Document Retention: Maintain timely control of purchase orders, work orders, engineering amendments, shipping notices, and other documents to ensure accurate retention of records.
  • Invoice & Receiving Resolution: Assist accounting and receiving in resolving discrepancies with invoices, POs, and receiving documentation.
  • Expediting & Vendor Follow-Up: Contact vendors via email, phone, or site visits to verify scheduled shipments and expedite critical shortages.
  • Floor Alignment: Participate in daily production huddles with shop floor leads, supervisors, and shipping to track schedule attainment and On-Time In-Full (OTIF) delivery metrics.
  • Other duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
  • Experience reading engineering documents, drawings, and technical specifications.
  • APICS / ASCM certification (CPIM or CSCP) preferred.

  • Hands‑on experience issuing and managing MRO purchase orders alongside direct production procurement.
  • Advanced user proficiency with Microsoft Office (specifically Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Strong organizational and cross‑functional teamwork skills.
  • Experience sourcing electronic components.
  • Experience setting up Long‑Term Agreements (LTAs).
