Job summary

Canoga Perkins is seeking an IT Systems Administrator to keep our headquarters, engineering teams, and manufacturing operations running smoothly. You’ll work with IT, Engineering, DevOps, our MSP, and vendors to support ERP, manufacturing tech, and day-to-day business systems.

The role emphasizes hands-on server, network, and application support with growth into security, DR, and infrastructure projects. This is an onsite role at our Chatsworth HQ.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of hands-on IT experience with Windows, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Entra ID, and networking fundamentals.
• Experience troubleshooting TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, switching, routing, hardware, servers, and Windows environments, plus some virtualization/storage exposure.
• Ability to work onsite in Chatsworth five days per week.

Responsibilities

• Be a primary onsite technical resource for employees, troubleshooting hardware, software, accounts, applications, connectivity, printers, phones, and other technology.
• Administer and troubleshoot Windows, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Entra ID, Exchange, SharePoint, MFA, and user access.
• Support networks/infrastructure (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, switching, routing, wireless, firewalls, cabling).
• Manage VMware ESXi/vCenter and Proxmox environments, storage, SAN/NAS, and related infrastructure.
• Document systems, procedures, configurations, and recurring issues; build knowledge and own the environment.

We’re looking for an IT Systems Administrator to help keep the technology behind our headquarters, engineering teams, and manufacturing operations running smoothly. You’ll work alongside internal IT, Engineering, DevOps, our managed service provider, and technology vendors, with plenty of opportunity to learn and take on increasing responsibility.

What You'll Do

• Be a primary onsite technical resource for employees, troubleshooting hardware, software, accounts, applications, connectivity, printers, phones, and other technology.
• Administer and troubleshoot Windows, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Entra ID, Exchange, SharePoint, MFA, and user access.
• Support networks and infrastructure, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, switching, routing, wireless, VPNs, firewalls, and cabling.
• Support physical and virtual server environments, including VMware ESXi/vCenter and Proxmox, as well as storage, SAN/NAS, and related infrastructure.
• Help maintain server rooms and network closets, including servers, switches, firewalls, UPS systems, and telecommunications equipment.
• Support backup, disaster recovery, endpoint security, patching, monitoring, and infrastructure continuity.
• Support specialized manufacturing and engineering systems, including QAD ERP, production-floor technology, label-printing systems, engineering applications, and legacy platforms.
• Manage onboarding, offboarding, hardware and software deployments, inventory, equipment lifecycle, and user access.
• Work closely with internal IT, Engineering, DevOps, our managed service provider, and technology vendors to resolve issues and support projects.
• Document systems, procedures, configurations, and recurring issues while building knowledge and taking increasing ownership of the environment.
• Use good judgment when working with unfamiliar, legacy, or business-critical systems, knowing when to troubleshoot independently and when to escape.

About You

• 3 to 5 years of hands-on IT experience with strong Windows, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Entra ID, and networking fundamentals.
• Experience troubleshooting TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, switching, routing, hardware, servers, and Windows environments, plus some exposure to virtualization and storage.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, organization, and follow-through skills, with the ability to support both technical and non-technical users.
• A practical, curious mindset and the judgment to know when to solve a problem yourself and when to ask for help.
• Ability and willingness to work onsite in Chatsworth five days per week.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with manufacturing or engineering environments, ERP systems, Linux, VMware, Proxmox, Azure, Fortinet, SAN/NAS, backup and disaster recovery, cybersecurity, RMM tools, or managed service providers.
• Relevant technical certifications or a degree in IT, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field are also welcome, but equivalent hands-on experience is valued.
