Trident Seafoods is the largest vertically integrated seafood harvesting and processing company in North America. Species harvested and processed by Trident include virtually every commercial species of salmon, whitefish, and crab harvested in the North Pacific and Alaska.

The Manager, Master Data Management (MDM) role will lead the Trident Master Data team and will interact closely with key business stakeholders from Finance, Supply Chain, Operation, Sales, and other teams across Trident Seafoods. Trident Seafoods utilizes SAP S/4 HANA to maintain key master data.

Essential Functions (Responsibilities, Tasks, Supervisory Needs)

1. Partners with the business and Transformation Management Office (TMO) to understand key business master data requirements and challenges, evaluating options and making recommendations on the technology solutions and implementation approach.
2. Develops the Trident product master data management strategy, in the context of the technology we currently use (SAP S/4 HANA), which includes partnering with various business and IT teams on inputs, workflows for product data, outputs, and governance of product data.
3. Designs dashboards and reporting for key performance indicators.
4. Leads data governance initiatives – both enhancements and medium/large projects.
5. Develops the MDM tool technology road map and collaborates with all key stakeholders to ensure alignment.
6. Partners with the SAP functional support team to communicate and clarify business needs, contribute to development of long-term system plans, and ensure products and services are aligned with all businesses.
7. Acts as the business lead for project meetings to design and scope scalable technical solutions that extend the existing functionality of SAP; actively seeks ways to apply technology to business processes, researching and providing information on technical trends, advising on options, risks, costs versus benefits, and impact on other business processes.
8. Builds strong partnerships with various stakeholders: Sr Management, business SMEs, TMO, regulatory/compliance teams, IT teams, end-users, and third parties/vendors, providing optimal workflows and customer service.
9. Manages projects for integrations of product data with various applications, data synchronization networks, websites, and product technical document generation.
10. Identifies current gaps in data health and implements corrective measures to ensure data integrity.

This is a salaried exempt position with an annualized salary range of $160k to $190k.

Required Qualifications (Education, Years of Experience, KSAs)

1. A minimum of 8 years of experience in master data management, with at least 5 of those years in an SAP environment.
2. A minimum of 5 years of people leadership experience.
3. A bachelor’s degree in computer science, business, or related field.
4. CPG, food, nutrition, or manufacturing industry experience.
5. Experience leading project teams and work streams.
6. Solid understanding of information systems and application architecture standards.

Preferred Education and Experience

11. Certification in project management such as PMP.

This hybrid position will be a combination of remote and onsite at the Trident Support Center office in the Ballard neighborhood of Seattle, WA. Our hybrid work environment includes remote work on Monday and Friday and in-office in the Support Center on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.

In-office time takes place in a typical office environment: temperature controlled with adequate lighting and moderate noise. While remote, employees must provide appropriate home office space.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use a computer for long periods, often sitting at a desk in an office environment. The employee is occasionally required to sit; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. During visits to production locations the employee will need normal vision and hearing to safely navigate the production floors and warehouse. The employee moves objects occasionally up to 25 pounds.
