Assist with the management and execution of the department's custodial operations, with direct responsibility for supervising evening custodial staff and supplemental oversight of evening event staff who report to a day-shift manager. Ensure that assigned staff receive appropriate direction, support, and oversight to maintain service standards and operational continuity throughout the evening shift. This includes scheduling, evaluating, and training staff and student workers. Manage facilities operations during evening shift hours. Make recommendations for and work closely with vendors to obtain cost estimates for furnishings, supplies and equipment. Foster a climate of growth and leadership among staff while maintaining cooperative relationships with colleagues and other campus departments. Coordinate and conduct training sessions to uphold consistent standards across divisions. Take appropriate actions to support a diverse workforce and participate in the College's efforts to create a respectful, inclusive, and welcoming work environment.
Bachelor's degree 5 years of relevant experience with at least 1 year of leadership and/or a combination of education and experience. Knowledge and experience in residential and institutional operations. Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication ability and customer service skills. Demonstrated ability to work with students, student organizations, faculty, and staff. Ability to organize and prioritize work, takes initiative, resolve problems, and manage teams. Must work well independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Must be proficient in PC systems and software. Ability to work a flexible schedule, which includes days, evenings and weekends.
Must maintain current OSA Blood-borne Pathogen training certification.
In addition to a competitive benefits package, annualized pay for this role is typically between $63,029.35-$76,535.64 covering the middle half of market compensation. Actual compensation will vary based on individual qualifications and work schedule if less than full-time.
