Job summary

Brandon Surgery Center is seeking an Endoscopy Registered Nurse Manager to lead the unit, coordinate staff, and support physicians postoperatively until discharge. You will manage scheduling, staffing, and adherence to clinical standards.

The role requires an RN license (or compact), Nursing Diploma, and 2+ years in gastroenterology with supervisory experience; ACLS/PALS as required by the facility.

Qualifications

• Nursing Diploma as minimum education.
• Two years of supervisor experience in a gastroenterology setting.
• RN license required or compact licensure.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate nursing care in the endoscopy unit and ensure adequate staffing.
• Communicate changes in scheduling and delegate tasks by staff competencies.
• Assist with clinical needs, breaks, coverage for meals and late cases.
• Support labor cost management with appropriate staffing patterns.

Job Summary and Qualifications

• As an Endoscopy Registered Nurse Manager, you will contribute to the company’s mission and vision by utilizing the nursing process in planning, executing and evaluating the nursing care rendered postoperatively until patient is dismissed from the facility. You are responsible for coordinating environmental control, area staff, assistance to physicians, materials, equipment and education of personnel. You will analyze and evaluate nursing services to improve quality of care provided. What you will do in this role: You will coordinate nursing care in the designated clinical unit/departmentEnsure sufficient staff for your endoscopy unit on a daily basesYou will notify staff of scheduling changes in a timely mannerYou will coordinate and delegate tasks to individuals according to the activities required and staff competenciesYou will assist with managing labor cost by coordinating adequate staffing patterns according to the utilization of the area and keeping an open line of communication with Clinical Director and/or administratorYou will be assessable to staff your clinical area and assist with clinical needs to include: providing breaks, ensure coverage for meal breaks, late cases, and staffing shortages Qualifications for this role: Nursing DiplomaMinimum 2 years of experience in a gastroenterology procedure setting, preferably in an ambulatory surgery centerTwo years of supervisor experienceRN license required or appropriate compact licensureRequired valid BCLS Certification upon employment. ***online certification not acceptableACLS, PALS and/or other as required for patient care area and by facility
