Job summary

Master Deluxe is seeking a Localization Technology Specialist to optimize our LLM prompts and enhance localization workflows across global teams. You will manage localization tools, propose improvements, and collaborate with product, engineering, and data science teams.

The role requires strong analytical skills, multilingual abilities, and experience in localization or related tech, with opportunities to mentor junior specialists and drive process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Linguistics, Engineering, or related discipline.
• Proficiency in Excel and working knowledge of audio/video editing software (ProTools, Premiere, Avid, Resolve, etc.).
• Fluency in multiple languages is highly valued and assets include Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Ukrainian, Russian or Japanese.
• Experience in localization, technology, or related industries.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Prior management experience is a plus but not mandatory.
• Ability to work independently on long term projects and across different time zones.
• Excellent organizational and collaborative abilities.

Responsibilities

• Master Deluxe’s suite of localization tools, ensuring a deep understanding of their functionalities and optimal use by end users across global teams
• Propose and implement improvements to existing tools and workflows, driving increased efficiency, enhanced functionality, and streamlined operations
• Act as a liaison between product development, engineering, data science, and operations teams
• Conduct research and experimentation to optimize Large Language Model (LLM) prompts for localization tasks
• Collaborate with product development and key stakeholders to prioritize the development and deployment of new tools and features
• Develop, document, and refine workflows to operationalize new technologies
• Analyze current localization workflows to identify opportunities for technical innovation
• Stay current with industry trends and advancements in film, localization, and AI technologies
• Research and evaluate emerging technologies and market solutions that could enhance localization processes
• Analyze operational metrics to uncover trends and drive continuous process improvement
• Manage and mentor two Localization Technology Specialists

• Multilingual skills are highly valued, with fluency in languages such as Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Ukrainian, Russian, or Japanese considered a significant asset
• Experience in localization, technology, or related industries
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Prior direct management experience, a plus, but is not mandatory
• Ability to learn and work independently on long term projects
• Ability to collaborate and work with people in different countries and time zones
• Exceptional organizational, communication, and independent problem-solving skills
