Job Description - Manager, Network Engineering (252100)

Overview

Under the guidance of the Director, Enterprise Network Service, the Manager of Network Engineering will lead a team responsible for designing, developing, and implementing Temple Health's Enterprise Network and Network Security Infrastructure. The role involves managing strategic initiatives such as routing protocols, LAN/WAN technologies, and network security tools. Collaboration with IT teams and leaders is essential to align technology solutions with organizational goals. The manager will also focus on developing team talent and ensuring successful project execution.

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (Required)
• Relevant education and experience may be considered as a substitute for a degree.

Experience

• Minimum 3 years managing and mentoring a Network Engineering team (Required)
• At least 5 years of expertise in network design, architecture, and troubleshooting across diverse infrastructures such as SD-WAN, Firewalls, ACI, Data Center Networking (Required)
• In-depth knowledge of protocols like BGP, OSPF, QoS, static routing, Layer 2 and Layer 3 routing, Spine/Leaf, and VxLAN (Required)
• Preferred: 2 years of automation, scripting, and network monitoring experience
• Preferred: Familiarity with Cisco, Palo Alto, Extreme, Infoblox devices, and Azure
• Preferred: Healthcare industry experience

Certifications

• CCNP - Cisco Certified Network Professional (Required)
• CCDP - Cisco Certified Design Professional (Preferred)
