  • Lead immigration programs, act as U.S. point of contact and signatory.
  • Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and internal policies.

Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopedics business to establish a standalone orthopedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes. The process of the planned separation is anticipated to be completed within 18 to 24 months, subject to legal requirements, including consultation with works councils and other employee representative bodies, as may be required, regulatory approvals and other customary conditions and approvals. Should you accept this position, it is anticipated that, following conclusion of the transaction, you would be an employee of DePuy Synthes and your employment would be governed by DePuy Synthes employment processes, programs, policies, and benefit plans. Job Overview

The Manager, Benefits, Immigration & Mobility plays a critical role in delivering competitive, compliant, and employee‑centric benefits and immigration/mobility programs that support business growth and workforce needs. This role partners closely with HR, Finance, Legal, TA, and external vendors to ensure effective program design, operational excellence, and a positive employee experience. The position offers the opportunity to influence how employees experience benefits, immigration, and global mobility during a period of transformation and growth for DePuy Synthes.

Key Responsibilities

Manage the day‑to‑day administration and continuous improvement of employee benefits programs, including health and welfare, retirement, and wellbeing offerings. Lead mobility programs, including domestic and international relocations, assignments, and related policy governance. Lead immigration programs, owning policy governance and serving as U.S. point of contact and signatory. Ensure benefits, immigration, and mobility programs comply with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies. Partner with internal stakeholders (HR Business Partners, Total Rewards, Finance, Legal, TA) to align programs with business strategy and workforce needs. Manage vendor relationships, including brokers and immigration, tax and relocation providers, to ensure service quality, cost effectiveness, and compliance. Analyze program performance, utilization, and costs; prepare insights and recommendations for leadership. Support change initiatives, including program enhancements, employee communications, and transitions related to organizational changes. Provide guidance and coaching to HR partners and employees on benefits, immigration, mobility‑related matters. Where required to be managed locally: Document handling: Print, stamp/seal, mail/ship, distribute, and route documents for wet signatures. Records management: Store/archive/retrieve HR documents; fulfill requests; coordinate offsite storage; scan and name for Veeva. Compliance/admin: Upload/submit filings; print and hand-deliver to agencies; support audits and onsite audit coordination.

Qualifications

Education Bachelor’s degree required (Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or related field). Master’s degree or advanced HR/Total Rewards education preferred. Experience and Skills Required: Typically requires 6–8 years of progressive experience in benefits, mobility, or total rewards, with experience at the manager level. Strong knowledge of U.S. benefits programs and regulatory requirements. Experience managing vendors and third‑party service providers. Demonstrated ability to analyze data and translate insights into recommendations. Proven stakeholder management and cross‑functional collaboration skills. Preferred: Experience supporting global mobility, immigration, and/or international assignment programs. Prior experience in a large, matrixed organization or regulated industry. Knowledge of change management and employee communications related to benefits. Familiarity with HR systems and benefits administration platforms. Other: Language requirements: English (additional languages a plus). Travel: Up to ~10% domestic and/or international travel. Certifications: CEBS or similar benefits certification preferred.

Pay and Benefits

The anticipated base pay range for this position is : Total Base Pay Range 102,000.00 - 204,000.00 USD Annual

  • Vacation –120 hours per calendar year
  • Sick time - 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Colorado –48 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington –56 hours per calendar year
  • Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays –13 days per calendar year
  • Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year
  • Parental Leave – 480 hours within one year of the birth/adoption/foster care of a child
  • Bereavement Leave – 240 hours for an immediate family member: 40 hours for an extended family member per calendar year
  • Caregiver Leave – 80 hours in a 52-week rolling period10 days
  • Volunteer Leave – 32 hours per calendar year
  • Military Spouse Time-Off – 80 hours per calendar year
