Job summary

Erickson Senior Living is seeking a Memory Care Manager for Cedar Crest Village in Pompton Plains, NJ. You will lead the Memory Care neighborhood, shaping resident-centered care for 44 residents and coordinating with Skilled Nursing and Assisted Living teams to uphold best practices.

You will drive program development, staff engagement, and family support, ensuring compliance with regulations and delivering compassionate, dignified care.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years related experience in long term care/assisted living.
• Minimum 3 years related experience with residents with cognitive impairment.
• Current CPR certification preferred.
• Knowledge of the geriatric population and aging process.

Responsibilities

• Conducting pre-residency assessments and screening of potential residents and making recommendations for appropriate Admissions.
• Evaluating psychosocial and ADL needs of residents in Memory Care and coordinating care and services.
• Monitoring engagement of activities for residents with cognitive impairment and participating in program development.
• Leading a holistic, person-centered approach to assessment and care planning.
• Partner with other departments to develop support groups and educational programming for residents and families in Memory Care.
• Supporting Independent Living and Post-Acute Social Workers to transition residents between levels of care.
• Maintaining compliance with Federal, State, and local regulations and facility policies for Memory Care.

Join our team as the Memory Care Manager, where you will provide leadership and oversight for our Memory Care neighborhood, serving 44 residents. In this role, you will oversee the overall management, performance, and delivery of person-centered care while supporting the integration of Memory Care best practices throughout our Skilled Nursing and Assisted Living neighborhoods.

Through strong leadership and collaboration, you will support residents, families, and staff while ensuring residents’ psychosocial, emotional, and individual care needs are met. You will foster a supportive, engaging, and compassionate environment that promotes dignity, quality of life, and meaningful connections for residents living with memory loss.

The Memory Care Manager will also champion high standards of resident care, customer service, and staff engagement, helping create a welcoming community where residents and families feel supported, valued, and confident in the care provided.

How You Will Make An Impact

• Conducting pre-residency assessments and screening of potential residents and making recommendations for appropriate Admissions
• Evaluating the psychosocial and activity of daily living (ADL) needs of residents in Memory Care and coordinating care and services
• Monitoring the engagement of activities for residents with cognitive impairment, as well as participating in program development and strategic planning
• Leading a holistic, Person-Centered approach to assessment and care planning
• Partner with other departments to develop support groups and educational programming opportunities for residents and family members in the Memory Care neighborhood.
• Supporting Independent Living and Post-Acute Social Workers to effectively transition residents between levels of care
• Maintaining a working knowledge and ensures compliance of Federal, State, and local regulations, as well as facility policies regarding Memory Care (and level of care – LTC or ALF)

Compensation:

Salary range $80k-95k, with eligibility for annual bonus.

What You Will Need

• Minimum of 3 years related experience and/or training in long term care/assisted living required.
• Minimum of 3 years related experience in providing services for residents with cognitive impairment required
• Current CPR certification preferred.
• Knowledge of the geriatric population and the aging process, including the physical, psychological, and social needs of the elderly
• Demonstration of progressive approaches to supporting and enhancing the quality of life for seniors with cognitive impairment
