Job summary

The Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History is seeking a Manager of Individual Engagement to strengthen member retention, acquisition, and donor relations by crafting personalized, high-impact experiences.

The role oversees onboarding, daily operations, and CRM activities, analyzes engagement data, and leads strategies for donor cultivation and stewardship with cross-department collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher preferred.
• 3+ years of development, fundraising, membership and donor relations.
• Experience overseeing complex, deadline-driven fundraising events.
• Impeccable writing and speaking skills with senior executives and external groups.

Responsibilities

• Retention & Recruitment: develop strategies to increase membership base and retention rates.
• Individual Engagement: create personalized, high-touch experiences for members and donors across channels.
• Onboarding & Support: guide new members through onboarding and benefits utilization.
• Data Analysis, Reporting & CRM Management: monitor workflows, analyze engagement data, maintain donor databases.
• Strategy Development: align membership and donor initiatives with organizational goals.
• Donor Communications: manage stewardship efforts and fundraising appeals.
• Relationship Management: engage with donors, conduct meetings, ensure donor experiences.
• Collaboration: work with internal teams to align donor engagement with goals.
• Other duties as assigned.
