The Manager of Medical Group Contracts and Immigration is responsible for overseeing provider employment contracting, immigration sponsorship processes, and related regulatory compliance for physicians and advanced practice providers (APPs). This position collaborates with legal counsel, human resources, physician recruitment, medical staff services, and operational leaders to ensure timely execution of provider agreements and successful management of visa and immigration matters. The manager supports strategic workforce initiatives by facilitating the recruitment, employment, retention, and immigration sponsorship of qualified healthcare providers.
Manage the development, review, processing, and administration of physician and APP employment agreements. Coordinate contract approvals with legal counsel, executive leadership, finance, and operational stakeholders. Track contract terms, renewal dates, compensation provisions, restrictive covenants, and termination requirements. Ensure provider agreements comply with applicable laws and regulations, including Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute, and fair market value requirements. Maintain contract management databases and document repositories. Partner with legal to develop and implement contract policies, procedures, and standard templates.
Oversee provider immigration sponsorship programs, including J-1 waiver physicians, H-1B visas, permanent residency applications, and other employment-based immigration processes. Serve as the primary organizational liaison with immigration attorneys and government agencies. Coordinate immigration timelines, filing requirements, and provider documentation. Monitor visa expiration dates and ensure timely renewals and compliance activities. Maintain immigration records and documentation in accordance with federal requirements. Educate leadership and providers regarding immigration regulations and sponsorship obligations.
Collaborate with physician recruitment teams to support recruitment and retention of international medical graduates and other sponsored providers. Participate in workforce planning activities related to physician staffing needs. Coordinate onboarding activities associated with employment agreements and immigration sponsorship. Ensure seamless transitions from recruitment through employment start dates.
Ensure compliance with federal and state employment, immigration, and healthcare regulations. Monitor regulatory changes affecting provider contracts and immigration sponsorship programs. Conduct periodic audits of provider contract and immigration files. Identify and mitigate potential legal, compliance, and operational risks.
Develop operational processes to improve contracting and immigration program efficiency. Prepare reports, metrics, and executive summaries related to provider contracting and immigration activities. Manage budgets associated with legal services and immigration sponsorship support. Lead special projects related to medical group growth and provider workforce initiatives.
$43.71 - $67.76 Additional compensation in the form(s) of participation in our annual incentive program are dependent on role. Pay is based on factors such as work experience, education, certification(s), training, skills, and competencies related to the role.
