Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum 3 years of related experience.
• C-TAGME Certification required or obtained within one year of eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Maintain program accreditation with ACGME and update ACGME Data System.
• Oversee regulatory activities including accreditation and licensure requirements.
• Manage residency recruitment using the Electronic Residency Application System (ERAS).
• Develop/implement residency and fellowship policies and data monitoring per ACGME.
• Manage the program budget, travel, and reconciliation to stay within budget.
• Analyze workflows, prioritize tasks, and coordinate internal/external communications.

Job description

The Manager Medical Education shares in the implementation and compliance of all aspects of the management and administration of the medical education program. This position plans, implements and oversees academic, operational, and financial activities in the medical education program to create a high quality clinical learning environment.

Essential Job Function:

• Works alongside the program director to maintain program accreditation with the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education and maintain data fields on the Accreditation Data System.


• Manages regulatory activities including accreditation, board specific requirements and medical licensure.


• Manages recruiting activities for the residency to include managing the Electronic Residency Application System for program applicants, screening candidates, preparing and submitting rank lists, preparing and submitting new hire paperwork and planning departmental orientations.


• Develops and implements residency and fellowship program policies, data collection, and monitoring processes as required by the ACGME, in conjunction with program director and the GME Office to ensure compliance.


• Manages the program's budget, including oversight of faculty and trainee travel and reconciliation, to ensure the program functions at/below budget.


• Owns activities such as analyzing administrative workflow, prioritizing tasks and project management as needed to meet deadlines, report compilation, data maintenance, overseeing coordinator, and program relations/communications both externally and internally.


• Performs other duties as assigned.
