Job Description

Job Summary

Collects, validates, analyzes, and organizes data into meaningful reports for management decision making. Designs, develops, tests, and deploys reports for operational and strategic analysis.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

• Manages and provides oversight of Medical Economics Team activities and personnel.
• Provides technical expertise and manages relationships with operational leaders and staff.
• Directs staff on projects, maintains work plans to meet reporting needs.
• Responsible for staff time keeping, performance coaching, development, and career paths.

Responsibilities include:

1. Daily management of Data management, Tools & Technology work stream.
2. Allocate new report/project requests.
3. Coordinate with Medical Economics team for data analysis and database development.
4. Review and improve business logic and data sources.
5. Mentor and support staff with analysis questions.
6. Review analyst work products for accuracy and clarity.
7. Review regulatory reporting requirements and project documentation.
8. Maintain reporting service level benchmarks.
9. Represent Medical Economics in cross-departmental meetings.
10. Serve as liaison between EIM and Medical Economics for reporting needs.
11. Create reports for strategic analysis, profitability, financial analysis, utilization, and medical management.
12. Maintain positive interactions with Health Plan and Corporate personnel.

Job Qualifications

Required Education

Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, Math, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.

Required Experience

• 3 years management or team leadership experience.
• 10 years’ work experience, preferably with claims data and/or healthcare environment.
• Strong knowledge of Excel, SQL, and Power BI report development.
• Familiarity with relational database concepts and SDLC.

Preferred Education

Master's Degree in related fields.

Preferred Experience

• 3–5 years supervisory experience.
• Experience in Population Health/Clinical Analytics, Clinical Program Evaluation, and building clinical targeting models.
• Interest or experience in Python/PySpark.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Interest in healthcare analytics and domain knowledge.
• Self-motivated to learn and expand skills.

Additional Details

Pay Range: $88,453 - $165,000 annually.
