Job Description

Job Summary

Collect, validate, analyze, and organize data into meaningful reports for management decision-making. Design, develop, test, and deploy reports for operational and strategic analysis.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

Manage and oversee Medical Economics Team activities and personnel. Provide technical expertise, manage relationships with operational leaders and staff. Direct project staff, maintain work plans, and ensure reporting needs are met. Responsible for staff performance, coaching, development, and career growth.

• Manage Data management, Tools & Technology work stream daily.
• Allocate new report/project requests and distribute workload.
• Coordinate with Medical Economics team for data analysis and database development.
• Review and improve business logic and data sources.
• Mentor, coach, and assist staff with analysis questions.
• Review analyst work products for accuracy and clarity.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory reporting requirements and documentation.
• Maintain reporting service level benchmarks.
• Represent Medical Economics in cross-departmental meetings.
• Serve as liaison between EIM and Medical Economics for reporting needs.
• Create reports for strategic analysis, profitability, financial analysis, utilization, and medical management.
• Maintain positive interactions with Health Plan and Corporate personnel.

Job Qualifications

Required Education

Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, Math, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.

Required Experience

• At least 3 years of management or team leadership experience.
• Preferably 10 years’ experience with claims data and/or healthcare environment.
• Strong skills in Excel, SQL, and Power BI report development.
• Familiarity with relational database concepts and SDLC.

Preferred Education

Master's Degree in related fields.

Preferred Experience

• 3–5 years supervisory experience.
• Experience in Population Health/Clinical Analytics, Clinical Program Evaluation, or building clinical targeting models.
• Interest or experience in Python/PySpark.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Strong healthcare domain interest and understanding of analytics nuances.
• Motivated to learn and expand technical and domain knowledge.
