Job Description

Job Summary

Manages and provides direct oversight of Medical Economics Team activities and personnel. Offers technical expertise and manages relationships with operational leaders and staff. Directs staff assigned to projects. Maintains internal work plans and project work plans to meet trend reporting needs of the Marketplace (ACA Coverage) Team. Responsible for staff timekeeping, performance coaching, development, and career progression.

  • Daily management of Marketplace trend analytics work stream.
  • Collaborates closely with the Marketplace team to address emerging trends and identify savings opportunities.
  • Allocates new reporting and project requests, managing workload distribution.
  • Acts as a mentor and resource to staff for analysis questions and coaching.
  • Reviews Medical Economics analyst work products for accuracy and clarity.
  • Ensures formatting, project documentation, and key findings adhere to best practices.
  • Works with business owners to monitor performance indicators of medical interventions.
  • Represents the Medical Economics department in cross-departmental and operational meetings.
  • Serves as a liaison between the Marketplace team/shared services and Medical Economics for reporting needs and ad hoc requests.
  • Manages the delivery and presentation of quarterly trend and performance reviews.

Maintains positive interactions with Marketplace and Medical Economics personnel.

Job Qualifications

Required Education

Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, Math, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.

Required Experience

  • At least 3 years of management or team leadership experience.
  • Minimum 10 years of work experience, preferably in medical economics or healthcare data environment.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL, data manipulation, and advanced Excel functions.
  • Experience creating concise data visualizations for leadership audiences.
  • Proven ability to present results, lead meetings, and engage stakeholders.

Preferred Education

  • Experience with ACA or Commercial health insurance products.
  • Experience with PowerPivot for Excel, Databricks, PowerBI.
