Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Interviews, counsels, disciplines, assigns, and monitors work; trains, orients, and evaluates assigned personnel. Develops productivity and performance standards.
• Promotes BMHCC vision/values through personal example and interaction with staff and ensures compliance with BMHCC policies and procedures.
• Analyzes department operations, identifies opportunities for cost reductions and enhanced efficiency. Monitors supply needs of customers and develops improvement plans with measurable goals to enhance services.
• Directs overall operation of materials management departments and works with staff and customers to enhance efficiency and quality of service.
• Maintains good working relationship with all hospital departments by providing service, assistance and open communication. Develops and maintains a positive work climate and the overall team efforts of the department. Communicates and interacts with staff and key customers to improve customer satisfaction.
• Performs related accountabilities/responsibilities as required or directed.

Responsible for the management and purchasing of all medical/surgical supplies, medical equipment, services and capital assets for the metro hospitals. Responsible for the effective usage of human and financial resources to achieve quality outcomes. Responsible for assigned personnel, 7 days/week, 24 hours/day and subject to overtime and callback as required by hospitals.

Job Responsibilities

Experience

Minimum Required: Four (4) years of experience in Materials Management or Two (2) years formal leadership experience in any function.

Preferred: Previous experience in healthcare facility.

Education

Minimum Required: High school Diploma or Equivalent.

Preferred: Bachelor degree and 2 years experience or 6 years experience in Healthcare.
