Manager Manufacturing Engineering
Riverton, CT, US
Experience: Senior Level
Salary: $140,000 - $190,000 per year
You will guide a Manufacturing Engineering team that supports high-mix, low-volume CNC machining and assembly for complex aerospace parts. You’ll own the strategic roadmap for process capability, new product introduction, and capital equipment while rolling up your sleeves on the shop floor to resolve daily production challenges. Success is measured by gains in OEE, first-pass yield, and on-time delivery, all critical to customer programs ranging from commercial airliners to cutting-edge defense systems. This role reports directly to the Plant Manager and partners with Quality, Operations, Supply Chain, and Program Management.
You’ll steer manufacturing excellence at a financially robust, growth‑oriented aerospace supplier where your ideas translate quickly into action, and into aircraft that fly worldwide. Expect the resources of a mid‑size company, the agility of a start‑up, and a leadership team that measures its success by your professional growth and the innovations you deliver.
For over 60 years, our privately held aerospace manufacturer has grown from a small tool‑room start‑up into a 500‑employee, multi‑site operation supplying flight‑critical components to nearly every major aircraft platform flying today. Continuous reinvestment in state‑of‑the‑art machining, automation, and talent development has pushed annual revenues past $120 million while maintaining the family‑owned culture that values collaboration, integrity, and innovation. Employees cite our flat leadership structure, aggressive capital spending, tuition reimbursement, and industry‑leading safety record as reasons they stay and grow with us.
