Responsibilities

The Corporate Maintenance Manager is primarily responsible for establishing and driving corporate programs focused on ADS over-the-road fleet and plant forklift equipment. Facilitate maintenance strategies resulting in cost reduction and standardization across the company for fleet and manufacturing operations. The position will ensure all equipment is legal, safe, and operational. The Corporate Maintenance Manager must create a visible and systematic platform for capturing, approving, and reporting repair and maintenance expenses to meet fleet and manufacturing R&M operational budgets. This position requires the flexibility to work 40+ hours per week and travel approximately 40% to ADS locations. The Corporate Maintenance Manager reports directly to the Corporate Fleet Manager.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist in hiring and training mechanics at plants
  • Manage and develop vendor relationships to control expenses with minimal asset downtime
  • Assist with specifications for new equipment purchases
  • Implement standardized programs across ADS network to capture and report R&M expenses
  • Ensure all vehicle maintenance records are properly maintained
  • Manage R&M approval process for completion of maintenance work at Plants/DC’s
  • Manage preventative maintenance programs
  • Prepare executive level presentations and reports on performance
  • Ensure compliance with Federal and State DOT / OSHA safety requirements
  • Develop and publish key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Ensure equipment inspections are conducted at Trailer Rebuild and plant mechanics
  • Conduct internal fleet and manufacturing audits
  • Manage National Accounts – Tire, Parts Supply, Shop Supplies
  • Manage large-scale projects such as engine repairs, tractor rebuilds, trailer modifications, and Forklift rebuilds
  • Manage PeopleNet parts inventory and replenishment

Job Skills:

Educational Requirements:

  • Associates Degree
  • Vocational School / industry training
  • Bachelor’s Degree (Plus)

Preferred Experience:

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in repair, maintenance, welding
  • Past experience in managing people or processes

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and move heavy items, up to 75 pounds to a height of 6 feet
  • Ability to stand and be mobile for at least 8 hours
  • Capability to perform physical labor in extreme temperatures
  • Ability to sit at a desk and work on a computer for extended periods
  • Ability to mount/dismount tractor trailers and perform various physical movements
  • Handling materials daily, requiring manual dexterity
  • Ability to travel approximately 40% as needed
