About the Role

Patriot is seeking a seasoned Sales Manager / Client Success Manager to drive our growth in the facility management space, while also pursuing residential and government contracting opportunities. You’ll lead sales strategy, onboard new accounts, expand existing client relationships, and manage a team of Sales Executives. If you have deep FM industry expertise—combined with the ability to navigate B2C residential and public-sector contracts—you’ll thrive in this high-impact, remote role.

Key Responsibilities

FM Industry Sales Leadership:

  • Develop and execute targeted sales plans to win new facility management contracts with commercial property managers, real-estate portfolios, and large site-based clients.
  • Leverage your understanding of FM service lines (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, janitorial, etc.) to position Patriot’s capabilities and differentiate us in competitive bids.

Residential & Government Contracting:

  • Identify and pursue residential multi-unit and single-family maintenance contracts, as well as municipal, state, or federal facility service RFPs.
  • Navigate government procurement processes—including RFP responses, compliance requirements, and contract negotiations—for public-sector facilities.

Full Sales Cycle Ownership:

  • Build and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified leads, conduct discovery meetings and demos, negotiate terms, and close deals.
  • Prepare persuasive proposals, presentations, and pricing models customized to each client’s needs.

Client Onboarding & Success:

  • Oversee seamless onboarding: coordinate kick-off calls, ensure all documentation and site assessments are completed, and hand off smoothly to Operations.
  • Maintain regular check-ins, track service quality, and identify upsell or cross-sell opportunities within both new and legacy accounts.

Team Supervision & Development:

  • Lead, mentor, and hold accountable a team of up to 10 Sales Executives. Set clear goals, monitor performance metrics, and provide coaching to drive productivity.
  • Recruit and train new sales talent, fostering a collaborative, results-driven culture.

Collaboration & Reporting:

  • Partner with Marketing to create industry-focused collateral (case studies, slide decks, brochures) and leverage AI tools (e.g. ChatGPT) to streamline content creation.
  • Use CRM platforms (such as Apollo) to track all lead and opportunity data, generate accurate forecasts, and report on KPIs to senior leadership.
Qualifications

Proven FM Sales Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years in sales or business development within the facility management, property services, or related industries.
  • Demonstrated success in closing commercial FM contracts and growing service volume.

Residential & Government Contracting Knowledge:

  • Experience with residential maintenance programs, property management relationships, or municipal/federal RFP processes.

Leadership & Communication:

  • Strong people-management track record, with the ability to motivate and develop a remote sales team.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

Technical & Analytical Skills:

  • Proficiency with CRM systems (e.g., Apollo, Salesforce) and sales-enablement tools.
  • Comfortable using AI platforms for research, prospecting, and collateral generation.

Organizational Ability:

  • Highly organized self-starter with the ability to juggle multiple prospects, projects, and team schedules in a remote environment.
  • Strong attention to detail in proposal creation, contract review, and client onboarding documentation.

Preferred (but not required):

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
  • Existing network of FM or facilities contacts.
  • Certifications such as IFMA’s FMP/CFM or project management credentials.
