Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Manufacturing Program Leader to head a team of technicians at the Lunar Lander Manufacturing Facility in Merritt Island, FL. You will develop production plans, optimize processes, mentor teams, and coordinate with engineering, quality, and supply chain to meet delivery schedules and quality targets.

The role requires results-driven leadership, data-driven decision making, and a background in aerospace or manufacturing.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience managing a team within a manufacturing or aerospace environment.
• 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing or aerospace environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing, aerospace, Military, or equivalent experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with teams and stakeholders.
• Ability to analyze data and metrics to drive decision-making and operational improvements.
• Proficiency in digital tools, including Windows and Microsoft Office applications.
• Track record of driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles

• Experience with advanced manufacturing technologies and tools (e.g., CAD software, ERP systems).
• Familiarity with regulatory compliance in aerospace manufacturing.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
• Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma certification.
• Statistical Process Control (SPC)
