Job summary

Blue Origin is building a Lunar Lander Manufacturing Facility in Florida and seeks a seasoned manufacturing leader to guide a team of technicians. You will optimize operations, develop production plans, mentor teams, and collaborate with engineering, quality, and supply chain to overcome challenges and drive efficiency.

The role emphasizes safety, cost control, and delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced aerospace environment with opportunities for growth and impact.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience managing a team within a manufacturing or aerospace environment.
• 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing or aerospace environment.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, aerospace, Military, or equivalent experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with teams and stakeholders.
• Ability to analyze data and metrics to drive decision-making and operational improvements.
• Proficiency in digital tools, including Windows and Microsoft Office applications.
• Track record of driving continuous improvement initiatives

This pivotal role will lead teams in achieving operational excellence while collaborating with cross-functional departments to continuously enhance manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will be results-driven, adept at resource management, and committed to maintaining high-quality standards in a fast-paced environment.

Minimum Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles
• Experience with specifications for cable/harness assemblies
• Experience with advanced manufacturing technologies and tools (e.g., CAD software, ERP systems).
• Familiarity with regulatory compliance in aerospace manufacturing.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
• Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma certification.
• Statistical Process Control (SPC)
