Job summary

Amethyst Partners' client is a logistics and supply chain group seeking a Logistics Manager based in Ontario, California. You will oversee daily logistics operations, including warehouse management, inland transportation, cross-border deliveries, and last-mile distribution in Los Angeles and surrounding areas.

You will develop scheduling and routing plans, optimize trucking capacity, and manage transportation and warehousing costs.

Qualifications

• At least 6 years of logistics management and warehouse management experience.
• Familiarity with United States customs and Port of Los Angeles logistics operations.
• Good analytical and management skills.
• Motivated, organized and able to multi-task.
• Strong communication and coordination abilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily logistics operations including warehouse management, inland transportation, cross-border deliveries, container loading/unloading, and last-mile distribution in Los Angeles and surrounding areas.
• Develop and implement logistics scheduling and routing plans, optimize trucking routes and transportation capacity, and manage overall transportation and warehousing costs.
• Manage third-party logistics vendors such as contracted trucking companies, warehousing providers, and customs brokers; conduct supplier performance evaluations and monitor service levels.
• Monitor cargo movement across the entire logistics process, ensure smooth operational process and timely delivery.
• Implement and enhance logistics SOPs, inventory management procedures, and inbound/outbound inspection standards; ensure good quality of service.
• Manage logistics cost and budgets, improve operational efficiency and enhance overall logistics performance.
