Life Fitness / Hammer Strength is seeking a Manager, Litigation & Risk Management to lead litigation, claims, and IP administration across global entities. This hybrid role out of the Rosemont, IL hub partners with Legal, Finance, Product, Quality, Engineering and Operations to optimize risk management and operational efficiency.

As Manager, Litigation & Risk Management, you'll help protect and strengthen our global business by managing litigation, claims, insurance, corporate governance, intellectual property administration, and legal operations. Reporting to the General Counsel, this role partners across Legal, Finance, Product, Quality, Engineering, and Operations to drive risk management, operational excellence, and informed business decision-making.

This is a hybrid position based out of our Global Support Hub in Rosemont, IL. Monday and Friday are typically remote, while Tuesday through Thursday are in-office collaboration days.

As Our Manager, Litigation & Risk Management, You Will

• Manage litigation, product liability claims, demand letters, subpoenas, regulatory inquiries, and dispute resolution activities.
• Partner with outside counsel and internal stakeholders on investigations, discovery, legal holds, and case strategy.
• Participate in cross-functional product risk and performance reviews, partnering with Quality, Engineering, and Product teams to identify trends and mitigate risk.
• Monitor claims, litigation exposure, reserves, settlements, and legal spend.
• Coordinate insured claims, insurance renewals, coverage matters, and recovery opportunities.
• Support Board and subsidiary governance activities, corporate records, resolutions, and corporate entity compliance requirements across U.S. and international entities.
• Partner with outside counsel to administer Life Fitness / Hammer Strength's global trademark, patent, and intellectual property portfolios, including maintenance, renewals, enforcement, and portfolio strategy.
• Develop dashboards, reports, budgets, and metrics for legal spend, claims activity, and risk exposure.
• Identify emerging legal and operational risks and partner cross-functionally to implement risk mitigation strategies.
• Improve Legal Department processes, systems, reporting, and operational efficiency.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

What Life Fitness / Hammer Strength is looking for in our Manager, Litigation & Risk Management:

• Bachelor's degree required; JD, paralegal certification, risk management, insurance, or related legal training preferred.
• 5-8+ years of experience in litigation management, claims administration, legal operations, risk management, corporate governance, intellectual property administration, or a related field.
• Corporate legal department experience strongly preferred.
• Experience managing product liability claims, insurance matters, and outside counsel relationships preferred.
• Strong knowledge of litigation processes, claims management, legal holds, governance, insurance, and intellectual property administration.
• Excellent project management, analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Financial acumen with experience managing budgets, reserves, accruals, and legal spend.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and exercise sound judgment in a fast-paced global environment.

At Life Fitness / Hammer Strength, we believe in taking care of our team with a comprehensive total rewards package that includes competitive pay and a range of valuable benefits. The salary range for this position, intended for U.S. applicants, is $109,400 - $153,800 annually. This position is eligible to participate in Life Fitness / Hammer Strength’s annual Manager Incentive Plan to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of bonus varies based on company and individual performance goals and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
